Our hair grows more in the summer than it does in the winter. So to keep your hair healthy and growing this summer, keep your hair healthy with these tips.
BEFORE YOU TAKE A DIP
Before you go swimming. If you cover your hair with leave-in conditioner, it won’t absorb as much saltwater or chlorine. When you get out of the pool rinse your hair out.
DON’T FORGET TO TRIM YOUR ENDS.
Get rid of split ends and refresh your style. Think about a cut mid season. Hair may grow faster in the summer. Because there are more hairs in the anagen phase, or growing, stage during late spring and summer than in the middle of winter.
PROTECT THOSE STRANDS
Always use hair care product that contains UV . These products protect hair from sun damage and will keep colored or highlighted hair from fading. If you’re outside a lot , wear a wide-brimmed hat. Not only will it keep your strands from getting scorched, it will also protect your scalp and ears, areas that are susceptible to skin cancer.
LEAVE THE HEAT ALONE
Try to find styles that don’t require heat. UV rays, pool water , heat and humidity all cause damage the hair. Don’t add to the damage with lots of heat. Try to use heat once every week or even if possible every two weeks depending on your hair’s condition.
DON’T FORGET THE MOISTURE
Don’t forget to use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. Many things are trying their best to damage your hair. Keeping it moisturized is the best way to combat against damage.
GET AHEAD OF THE FRIZZ
Keeping your hair healthy is the best way to fight against frizzies. All of the proceeding steps will help keep frizz down. But a drop or two of a light oil or anti-frizz serum should help keep your hair healthy and looking its best.
